From the moment he joined the school, Deacon Jezierski worked tirelessly to uphold the high standards of excellence in nursing education. His leadership extended beyond the classroom—he was a mentor, a guide and a steadfast advocate for students and faculty alike. His influence reached far beyond Lafayette, as he led mission trips to Haiti, demonstrating firsthand what it means to serve with both skill
and heart.
His calling extended beyond nursing education. Ordained as a deacon in 2008, he lived a life dedicated to faith and service, embodying the mission of St. Elizabeth to prepare nurses to continue Christ’s healing ministry. Even after retirement in 2016, his legacy endured through the many graduates who carried his lessons forward into their careers.
To honor Deacon Jezierski’s legacy, those wishing to pay tribute may consider donating to the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. Contributions will support future nurses, carrying forward his dedication to service, compassion and excellence in nursing education.
