The St. Elizabeth School of Nursing – University of Saint Francis Cooperative Nursing Program (CNP or hereinafter referred to as the “Nursing Program”) seeks to maintain a campus environment as a place of work and study for faculty, staff, students, management and administrators that fosters an atmosphere committed to excellence and quality which is conducive to the intellectual, spiritual, moral, social, and professional development of the entire nursing educational community. The CNP is committed to fostering an educational environment free from sexual or gender-based harassment or misconduct.
TITLE IX
Title IX is a federal law that prohibits discrimination based on sex in educational programs that receive federal financial assistance. All forms of sexual or gender-based harassment, including but not limited to, dating and domestic violence, stalking, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, retaliation and sexual assault are violations of Title IX. Title IX protects individuals of all genders and sexual orientations and applies to students, faculty, staff, campus visitors, and other participants in educational programs.
TITLE IX COORDINATOR
Title IX makes it clear that violence and harassment based on sexual orientation and gender are Civil Rights offenses subject to the same kinds of accountability and the same kinds of support applied to offenses against other protected categories such as race, national origin, etc. Any student, faculty member or staff who judges that he/she has been harassed, assaulted, or has been the victim of sexual or gender-based harassment or misconduct he/she is encouraged to contact the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing Title IX Coordinator: Andrea Blissitt PhD, RN, CNE by phone at 765-423-6252 or by email at andrea.blissitt@franciscanalliance.org
